Requirements for DV Pics.
In the event you are applying for the DV 2012 Green Card lottery you must upload a color picture file along together with your duly filled E-DV entry.
In the event you are married, then your partner picture also must be uploaded along along with her application form.
In the event you have eligible children, then each of their separate pics along with their entries must be uploaded in their birth order.
Group pics are not accepted.
All pics must be recently photographed ones. (Within 6 months on the date of application.)
In the event you didn't submit pics of the eligible members of your relatives including your partner, your entry will be rejected.
You can take either a digital photograph by taking with a digital camera or scan a picture print according to the DV Lottery instructions.
When taking a picture for the Green Card lottery
The person must look the camera straight, and the head not tilted position, not wearing any glasses that may obstruct the eyes, Not wearing any head cover or caps (except for religious belief), the Back round behind the person must be a light colored wall or board.
The picture must be in lovely focus.
When taking a Digital Picture the submitted digital picture must conform to the following compositional specifications or the entry will be disqualified.
The submitted digital photograph must conform to the following specifications or the method will automatically reject the E-DV Entry Form and notify the sender.
When taking a used digital picture as dv lottery picture take notice of the following things. If a used digital picture is taken, it must meet the following specifications:
Picture File Format: The picture must be in the Joint Photographic Specialists Group (JPEG) format.
Picture File Size: The maximum picture file size is 240 kilobytes (240 KB).
Picture Resolution: 600 pixels high by 600 pixels wide.
Picture Color Depth: 24-bit color [Note: Color photographs are necessary. Black and white, monochrome images (2-bit color depth), 8-bit color, or 8-bit grayscale won't be accepted.]
Scan a photograph for the DV lottery submission purposes. Before a photographic print is scanned, it must meet the compositional specifications listed above. If the photographic print meets the print color and compositional specifications, scan the print using the following scanner specifications.
Scanner Resolution: Scanned at a resolution of at least 150 dots per inch (dpi).
Picture File Format: The picture must be in the Joint Photographic Specialists Group (JPEG) format.
Picture File Size: The maximum picture file size is 240 kilobytes (240 KB).
Picture Resolution: 600 by 600 pixels.
Picture Color Depth: 24-bit color. [Note that black and white, monochrome, or grayscale images won't be accepted.]
